🌿 Overview
Unicorn is a Mythic rarity passive pet in Grow a Garden 2 and one of the best income pets for players who prefer staying on their own land. While equipped, it doubles the chance of your crops mutating into Rainbow variants — permanently, with no cooldown and no conditions. Rainbow crops sell for significantly more Sheckles than normal ones, so Unicorn quietly multiplies your garden’s earning potential every single harvest. At 12,000,000 Sheckles and a very rare 0.09% wild spawn chance, it’s a true endgame pet. It can also hatch from a Rare Egg.
🌈 Unicorn Ability
🌈 Rainbow Mutation Boost (Passive)
As long as Unicorn is in your active pet slot, every crop you grow has twice the normal chance to mutate into a Rainbow variant. Rainbow crops have a distinct color and a much higher sell value than standard crops. The boost is always active — you don’t need to do anything to trigger it. Stack it with mutation-friendly weather or crop types for best results. Exact base mutation rates and stacking rules with other mutation items are not yet fully documented.
⚠️ Note: The 2× multiplier doubles whatever the base Rainbow mutation rate is for each crop type. It doesn’t guarantee a Rainbow harvest every time — it just shifts the odds in your favor passively.
🏆 How to Get the Unicorn
1
Save 12,000,000 Sheckles

Focus on high-value crops first. Unicorn pays for itself faster once you have consistent Rainbow harvests, but you need the initial income to buy it.

2
Wait for a 0.09% map spawn

Unicorn is the rarest map-spawn pet in the current pool. It appears with a countdown timer — check the map regularly if you want to catch one.

3
Buy fast and move to safety

On busy servers, another player can outbid you while you walk home. Use a low-population or private server when you spot a Unicorn spawn.

4
Or try a Rare Egg

Rare Eggs from Guild Rewards have a chance to produce a Unicorn, bypassing the map spawn entirely.

💡 Unicorn Tips & Strategies
🌱
Grow high base-value crops

Rainbow mutation boosts the sell price of whatever you’re already growing. High-value crops become extremely profitable when they flip Rainbow.

🔒
Keep your garden locked

Unicorn helps you earn more, but it doesn’t protect your garden. Lock your plot and pair it with a Bee if you’re playing on public servers.

📈
Don’t skip cheaper growth pets

At 12M Sheckles, Unicorn is a long save. Pets like Robin cost far less and help build income faster while you save up.

🥚
Farm Guild Rewards for Rare Eggs

Rare Eggs are the only guaranteed alternative source for Unicorn. Do your Guild quests consistently to stockpile egg chances.
