🌿 Overview
Bunny is a Common rarity Utility pet in Grow a Garden 2. It hops around your garden and gives you a permanent +5 walk speed bonus while equipped. That might sound small, but in a game where you race other players to pet spawns and need to move fast after a steal, that speed advantage is real. At just 20,000 Sheckles and an 11.9% wild spawn chance, it is the first pet most new players pick up — and tier lists consistently recommend it as the single best first purchase in the game. The speed bonus also stacks, so running multiple Bunnies multiplies the effect.
Bunny Ability
🏃 Walk Speed Boost +5
The Bunny grants a permanent +5 walk speed bonus to your avatar while it is active in your garden. This is a flat stat boost — your character moves noticeably faster across the map. The bonus is passive and always active. Whether it is a flat number or a percentage-based increase is not yet fully documented, but the +5 figure is community-confirmed via post-launch video evidence. The speed boost helps you reach pet spawns before other players, escape more easily after stealing, and cover your garden faster during Blood Moon events.

Note: In Grow a Garden 1, Bunny ate a carrot at 1.5× value every 40 seconds. That mechanic does not exist in GAG2. The speed boost is its only ability in this game.
🛒 How to Get the Bunny
1
Spot it on the map (11.9% spawn)

The Bunny has one of the highest wild spawn rates in the game at 11.9%. It appears with a countdown timer above its head. Walk up to it quickly before another player buys it.

2
Buy it for just 20,000 Sheckles

At 20,000 Sheckles, the Bunny is the most affordable recommended pet in the game. Most new players can afford one within their first few harvests.

3
Escort it to your garden

Walk the Bunny directly to your garden. The speed bonus activates as soon as it is placed. It follows you around your plot once deployed.

4
Hatch from Common Egg

The Bunny is available in the Common Egg, which you earn by reaching Guild rank #5000–#101 on the Guilds leaderboard. A reliable alternate source if wild spawns are competitive.

📐 Bunny Variants: Big & Huge

Bunny is one of the few pets with confirmed Big variant stat numbers. Spawn odds are very low and not officially documented.

💡 Bunny Tips & Strategies
🥇
Your very first buy — make it the Bunny

At 20,000 Sheckles with an 11.9% spawn rate, the Bunny is the strongest first purchase in Grow a Garden 2. The speed boost pays dividends in every part of the game from day one.

🔢
Stack multiple Bunnies for compounding speed

The walk speed bonus stacks with each additional Bunny. Two Bunnies give +10, three give +15. Early on, filling some pet slots with Bunnies before upgrading is a valid strategy.

🦝
Essential for steal builds

The Raccoon + Bunny combo is a well-known pairing. Bunny speed makes it easier to chase pet spawns and escape other players’ gardens after stealing. If you run a Raccoon, always run at least one Bunny.

🏁
Win the race to Legendary pet spawns

When a Legendary pet like the Bee or Robin spawns on the map, every player sprints for it. The Bunny’s speed advantage can be the difference between claiming it and losing it to a faster player.
