🜂 Campfire Part 3 — Inferno Ritual

Grow a Garden Campfire Part 3 — Inferno Ritual, Level 500 Pets & Flame Bear/Shadow Cat

Launched: June 20, 2026 · Fan-made guide · Not affiliated with Roblox

Part 3 of the Summer Camp Event landed on June 20, 2026, and it’s the update that gave the Campfire Event a real pet-mutation system. The Campfire Keeper showed up with the Inferno Ritual, the pet level cap jumped from 100 to 500, and two new pets joined the roster. Here’s exactly how the ritual works, what it costs, and what actually changed.

What Part 3 Actually Added

The first two parts of the Campfire Event were about the campfire itself and Bearnaby’s quest line. Part 3 is where the event got a pet-mutation system of its own. A new NPC, the Campfire Keeper, appeared near the fire with a Ritual Altar — bring a pet and four Inferno Shards, and you can permanently apply a new Inferno pet mutation. Alongside that, the patch raised the pet level cap from 100 to 500 and shipped a new Pet Mutation Machine that unlocks once a pet reaches that cap.

Two new pets joined the event roster: Flame Bear and Shadow Cat. Two new Workshop-craft plants, Shadow Spine and Smoke Stalk, were also added, though the community is still confirming their exact rarity and sell values. As always, the Bizzy Bee Event keeps running in parallel — switch to it any time through the in-game mailbox.

How the Inferno Ritual Works, Step by Step

The ritual takes place at the Ritual Altar near the Campfire, and it’s run through the Campfire Keeper NPC. Here’s the full process from a cold start:

  1. 1

Get your Campfire to Tier 1 or higher. The ritual won’t start on a dead fire.

  2. 2

Collect 4 Inferno Shards. These come from Bearnaby’s quest line — you get one shard every 25 completed deliveries, so a full set of 4 needs 100 total submissions.

  3. 3

Place all 4 shards into the four shard slots around the Ritual Altar.

  4. 4

Place the pet you want mutated on the altar’s podium. This locks the pet in — there’s no swapping once you confirm.

  5. 5

Once both the shards and the pet are placed, the altar’s status switches to “Ready.” Start the ritual to lock everything in and begin the timer.

  6. 6

Wait for the timer to finish. Your Campfire’s tier speeds this up continuously in real time, even while you’re offline.

  7. 7

When the altar shows “Complete,” interact with it to claim your pet with the Inferno mutation applied.

Don’t use Fire Wisp here. Fire Wisp already carries the Ember mutation (+32% passive, +32% XP) — the strongest pet mutation in the game right now. Running it through the Inferno Ritual would overwrite that. Pick a different high-rarity pet that doesn’t have a mutation yet.

A note on the actual numbers: the exact multiplier the Inferno mutation applies hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, and it isn’t the same thing as the separate “Infernal” crop mutation (×180) that some guides mention — those are two unrelated systems that happen to share a similar name. Treat any specific Inferno multiplier you see elsewhere as unverified until the community confirms it.

Inferno Ritual Duration — Pet Rarity & Campfire Tier

The base ritual time depends on the rarity of the pet you place on the podium — rarer pets take longer. Confirmed so far: Divine-rarity pets take 12 hours, and Prismatic-rarity pets take the longest at 18 hours. Lower-rarity pets finish faster, though exact base times for those tiers haven’t been pinned down by the community yet.

Your Campfire’s tier applies a continuous speed bonus on top of that base time — and it keeps working even if you’re not online:

Campfire TierRitual Speed
Tier 1Normal speed (1×)
Tier 22× faster
Tier 33× faster
Tier 44× faster
Tier 5 — Super Fire5× faster (maximum)

If your server’s fire drops a tier mid-ritual, the timer just slows down — it doesn’t reset or cancel. You can also spend Robux to instantly finish an active ritual; the cost scales with the rarity of the pet you’ve got locked in.

Ritual tip: the speed bonus applies for the whole duration of the ritual, not just at the moment you start it. Starting a ritual on a Tier 5 server and then having it drop to Tier 3 still gives you a real speed boost for as long as the fire holds that tier — you don’t need to babysit it at full strength the entire time.

The Two New Pets — Flame Bear & Shadow Cat

Legendary

🐻‍🔥 Flame Bear

Hunger capacity of 20,000 — high, so it doesn’t need feeding often. Its Flame On ability periodically restores hunger and grants bonus XP to a random pet in your collection, making it a support pet rather than a direct income booster.

Crafted at the Campfire Workshop, but the recipe only unlocks once your Campfire reaches Tier 4. It’s an event-exclusive pet — once Summer Camp ends, this is expected to go trade-only.

Legendary · Permanent

🐱 Shadow Cat

Hunger capacity of 2,500. Its Shadow Nap ability occasionally applies the Shadow mutation to a nearby fruit, making it a useful pick if you’re farming for mutation value rather than support effects.

Unlike Flame Bear, Shadow Cat is not event-limited. It’s crafted at the Crafting Station on the far end of the island and stays available even after the Summer Camp Event ends.

Craft time1 hour after submitting required materials

If you only have time to chase one, Flame Bear is the one with a closing window — Shadow Cat will still be craftable long after this event wraps up.

New Plants — Shadow Spine & Smoke Stalk

Part 3 also added two new Workshop-craft plants. Both are confirmed to exist in the Garden Guide, but the wider community is still verifying exact rarity, sell values, and recipe costs as the event runs, so treat any numbers you see elsewhere as unconfirmed for now.

Workshop Craft · Values TBC

🦴 Shadow Spine

Craftable at the Campfire Workshop. Sell value and exact recipe are still being confirmed by the community as more players reach the required tier.

Workshop Craft · Values TBC

💨 Smoke Stalk

Also craftable at the Workshop. Likely pairs well with fire-themed mutations based on its name, but stats haven’t been locked down yet.

Pet Level Cap Raised to 500 + New Pet Mutation Machine

Before Part 3, pets capped out at level 100. That ceiling is now 500. Reaching the new cap unlocks access to the Pet Mutation Machine, which offers four additional pet mutations beyond what was available before — the exact identities and odds of these four are still being confirmed by the community.

One side effect worth knowing about: Lollipops, the item players use to instantly age a pet up, are now less effective the higher a pet’s level is. If you’re leveling toward 500, plan on more natural XP farming and less one-click lollipop shortcuts near the top of the curve.

Where Part 3 Fits in the Campfire Timeline

This was the third weekly drop in the Summer Camp Event, which started with the original Campfire Launch (Part 1) on June 6 — the Ember system, the Workshop, and the first four Campfire Egg pets. Part 2 added Bearnaby and the Campfire Seed Packs. Part 3 is the Inferno Ritual update covered above.

Frequently Asked Questions

When did Campfire Part 3 launch?

June 20, 2026 — the third weekly drop of the Summer Camp Event, following Part 1 on June 6 and Part 2 on June 13.

How do I get Inferno Shards?

Complete Bearnaby’s quests at the campfire area. You receive 1 Inferno Shard for every 25 completed deliveries, so you need 100 total deliveries to collect the 4 shards required for one ritual.

How long does the Inferno Ritual take?

It depends on the rarity of the pet you place on the altar — confirmed times so far are 12 hours for Divine pets and 18 hours for Prismatic pets. Your Campfire’s tier speeds this up continuously, up to 5× faster at Tier 5.

Can I skip the Inferno Ritual timer?

Yes, with Robux. The cost scales with the rarity of the pet locked into the ritual — rarer pets cost more to instantly finish.

Should I use Fire Wisp for the Inferno Ritual?

No. Fire Wisp already carries the Ember mutation, currently the strongest pet mutation in the game at +32% passive and +32% XP. Running it through the Inferno Ritual would overwrite that mutation. Use a different pet instead.

Is Shadow Cat available after the event ends?

Yes. Shadow Cat is a permanent craft at the Crafting Station, unlike Flame Bear, which is event-exclusive and expected to go trade-only once the Summer Camp Event closes.

What’s the new pet level cap?

500, up from 100 before Part 3. Reaching level 500 unlocks the Pet Mutation Machine, which offers four additional pet mutations beyond what was previously available.
